UI GreenMetric: the University of Trieste significantly improves its position in the 2018 ranking
UI GreenMetric has published data from the World University Ranking, which evaluates the best universities in 2018.
The University of Trieste ranks 196th out of 719 international participants, significantly improving on last year's results, when it was 352nd.
At the national level, Trieste gains the 9th position out of 27 Italian universities evaluated. Instead, it was 18th out of 22 universities in Italy in the 2017 ranking.

The UI GreenMetric World University Ranking is an initiative of Universitas Indonesia launched in 2010. The objective of the ranking is to elaborate the results of an online survey on the current conditions and policies of Green Campuses and the sustainability of universities around the world.
The tools used to evaluate the universities are based on a philosophy that includes three factors: environment, economy and equity. The criteria take into account aspects relevant to sustainability and are considered the areas in which the universities are located, whether urban, suburban or rural and the presence of green spaces.
