Trieste Summer School
In collaboration with University of Northern Colorado

Information technology, internationalization and culture for Italian and American students

Culture, Internationalization and Learning are the three key words of the sixth edition of the Summer School in English, which was held at the Department of Economics, Business, Mathematics and Statistics of the University of Trieste.
The Summer School was organised within the framework of the international non-EU agreement between the University of Trieste and the University of Northern Colorado (UNC). In the last nine years more than 150 American students from UNC and Italian students from Units have benefited from the agreement, spending a semester abroad or participating in a Summer School.
This year, the aim of the three-week classroom with Prof. Mehrgan Mostowfi (https://mcb.unco.edu/departments/computer-information-systems/mostowfi-m), Associate Professor of Computer Information Systems at the Monfort College of Business at the University of Northern Colorado, was to provide students with the basic knowledge of the application of computer science to business management: more than forty classroom hours, held in three weeks, that twenty-two students of UniTs and eight of UNC can include within their regular training.
But learning was not the only result of the Summer School. In addition to the lessons, the Department has organized several afternoon activities that have led students to learn more about the culture, history and characteristics of the territory.
Prof. Donata Vianelli of DEAMS, was the coordinator of the partnership with the American University also during this new edition of the Summer School in Trieste.
