Excellent results for the University of Trieste in the latest RUR 2020 World Ranking
UniTS confirms its position among the best Italian universities in the Round World University Ranking 2020.
The University Ranking "RUR - Round World University Ranking 2020" – which examines 829 universities worldwide – has been published. For its evaluations, this ranking uses the well-known data collection system Clarivate Analytics, a US platform specialized in the collection and evaluation of data from scientific journals, articles’ impact factor indexes, patents and intellectual properties, scientific research, academic quality standards, etc.
The University of Trieste is in an excellent position as it obtained the 225th place in the world and improved its previous results: in the previous ranking – published in 2019 – it was actually 237th. UniTS ranks well also among the other Italian universities, as it obtained the third absolute position – another improvement compared to the last edition, in which it reached the fifth place.
If we consider the scores calculated for the various elements under examination, UniTS ranks 3rd in the "International diversity ranking" at national level and 374th at global level. UniTs is in 4th in Italy in the "Research ranking" and 118th worldwide, with high scores that rank it 78th for "Doctoral degrees awarded for admitted PhD" and 93rd for "Citations for academic and research staff".
UniTS is also 4th in the "Teaching ranking" at national level and 303rd at global level.
Finally, the University of Trieste ranks 12th at national level in the "Financial sustainability ranking", where it reaches the 39th position world-wide for "Papers for research income".
RUR Rankings RUR World University Ranking assesses the major research and higher education institutions worldwide since 2010. The RUR ranking assesses the performance of universities by analysing 20 indicators grouped into 4 areas: teaching, research, internationalization, financial sustainability.
