Dear Colleagues, dear Colleagues, dear Students,
I begin today, thanks to the trust you have placed in me, the path of Rector of our University. I would like to reiterate to all of you that, while fully aware of the complexity of the challenge, I am strongly determined to do all I can to reduce the rigidity of the system and marry a culture of results in a transparent and, as far as possible, shared way.
I am committed to respecting and valuing people in a framework that values those who work and produce results for the University: I think I can do this through technological and process innovation, more efficient models of staff planning and budgeting, also in relation to a rethinking of building policy.
A complex and articulated work awaits us, starting, first of all, from the securing of the administrative management (General Manager, managers, administrative and didactic secretaries), aiming at a new model of governance that favours participation and gives the right responsible autonomy to the Departments, in order to awaken all the positive forces and reward merit.
The goal is to improve the quality of life of all of us and increase the motivation and pride of being part of our University.
We will all have to give it our all and I am sure we will.
