Workshop in International Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Action

Workshop for students and future professional in the field of International Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Action with a special focus on Africa. The SGroup Network as partner institution in this EU-funded initiative has 15 places available for students from member universities who can take part in a 5-day introductory training with travel and accommodation cost funded by the project.

The workshop will be held between 28th November until 3rd December 2016 at the University of Pavia. The participants will learn skills and competences necessary to perform a change-making process aiming at more inclusive, respectful and fair global society.

The event is organised within the framework of the UNICAH Project: Strategic Partnership for the Implementation of the University International Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Network financed by the European Erasmus + Program its Key Action 2 for Strategic Partnership in the Field of Higher Education 2015. The project fosters research and innovation in the field of international cooperation for the humanitarian professional sector.

UNICAH is implemented by the following consortium: University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria – Co-ordinator (Spain), University  of La Sapienza (Italy), University of Pavia (Italy) University Bretagne Sud (France), SGroup European Universities’ Network and the International Centre for Migrations, Health and Development.

The UNICAH WORKSHOP is a non-formal training activity, which provides a first mobility experience for students from each UNICAH partner university to the University of Pavia, Italia. It will be composted of discussions and practical training with international experts and teachers in the field of Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Action, thus allowing for a multicultural interaction with professionals and cohesion among the group of students, target goal of all the UNICAH activities.
