Time is a natural meeting place for physics and philosophy, for two reasons.
First, it is for each discipline a fundamental concept.
Second, the treatment of time in physics is very different from how we think of time in everyday life. So it is a natural task of philosophy to try to reconcile these differences. In this talk, I will discuss how to do so. I will emphasize what I consider the main difference.
This is that physics never needs to use the idea of past, present and future, the idea of the now; while in everyday life, we constantly use this idea
