University of Trieste applies, in compliance with the principles of the Right to Study, a taxation system that allows to know in advance and with certainty the total amount of tuition fees to pay.

The University of Trieste Student Fees System

Fees are the same for all courses.

Fees are progressively assessed according to the ISEE-U (ISEE for University) value.

Maximum fee applies for ISEE-U value over 70,000.00 euro.
There is no surcharge for second degrees.
The total amount due is calculated by adding up:

All-inclusive fee +

Stamp duty +

Regional tax

This amount may be reduced by any Reduction and Exemption.

For all details see the Student Fees and Taxes Notice 2023/2024 academic year Bachelors’, Master's, PhD Courses.

  • Student  residing in Italy who enrolls in the 2023/2024 academic year by December 31, 2023 to a  bachelor’s, master’s, specialisation and PhD degrees must apply for the ISEE for the University 2023 by 31 December 2023.

REMARKS

Obtaining the ISEE 2023 for the University after the deadline of December 31, 2023, will not make it possible to calculate the fees based on it, even with the payment of a late payment allowance. The ISEE thus obtained will therefore not be taken into consideration in any way.

  • Student residing in Italy who enrolls in the academic year 2023/2024 (payment of the 1st installment, even if it consists only of stamp duty) from 1st January 2024 onwards must apply for the ISEE for the University 2024 by May 30, 2024.

REMARKS

Obtaining the ISEE 2024 for the University after the deadline of May 30, 2024, will not make it possible to calculate the fees based on it, not even with the payment of a late payment allowance. The ISEE-U thus obtained will therefore not be taken into consideration in any way.

  • Students not residing in Italy pay taxes in a reduced and flat-rate fee without ISEE-U.
  • If you are residing in a non-EU country and the documents you uploaded on Universitaly have already been approved, before paying the first instalment of tuition fees (to apply for a visa for Italy) write to tasse.studenti@amm.units.it: we will apply a special temporary pre-exemption (€ 16,00). You will be invoiced the difference when obtaining your visa for Italy.
Useful advices

1. Always obtain the ISEE for University

The ISEE for University ensures that the calculation of the fees due is based on the family’s means.

Obtain the ISEE even if:

  • you will enrol in 2023/2024 at any later time;
  • you expect to graduate in 2022/2023. If you do not manage to graduate in time, you must enrol for 2023/2024 and without ISEE, you will have to pay maximum fees;
  • you think your scholarship will be renewed. If your scholarship is revoked or declined, without ISEE, you will have to pay maximum fees;
  • you intend to suspend your studies temporarily. If you begin your studies again and need a late enrolment for 2023/2024, without ISEE-U, you will have to pay maximum all-inclusive fees.

2. Always read your university email.

University correspondence is sent ONLY to this email address (got to your mail box OFFICE 365).

3. Use the payment systems indicated by the University

The University requires that payments are made only by PAGOPA

Do not use bank transfer.
