Università degli studi di Trieste

Fees and Concessions

From this year and respecting the principles of the right to higher education, the University of Trieste will adopt a fees system which will ensure that families know in advance exactly how much a student will have to pay.

The University of Trieste Fees System

Fees are the same for all programmes.

Fees are unchanged for those with an ISEE (Index of Equivalent Economic Situation) up to  €30,000

Fees are calculated progressively depending on ISEE.
Maximum fees are applied for an ISEE over €70.000,00.
Contributions for compulsory services (student card, degree or diploma tax, etc.) and extra charges for a second degree are abolished.
The total amount due is calculated by summing:

Total annual fees +

Stamp duty +

Regional tax

Any Reductions and Exemptions are then subtracted from this figure.

For all details regarding bachelor’s, master’s, specialisation and PhD degrees, see  "Fees and Contributions Notice"

Useful advices

1. Always obtain the ISEE for University

The ISEE for university ensures that the calculation of the fees due is based on the family’s means.

Obtain the ISEE 2018 even if:

  • you will enrol in 2018/2019 at any later time;
  • you expect to graduate in 2017/18. If you do not manage to graduate in time, you must enrol for 2018/19 and without ISEE 2017, you will have to pay maximum fees;
  • you think your scholarship will be renewed. If your scholarship is revoked or declined, without ISEE 2017, you will have to pay maximum fees;
  • you intend to suspend your studies temporarily. If you begin your studies again and need a late enrolment for 2018/19, without ISEE 2017, you will have to pay maximum fees.

2. Always read your university email.

University correspondence is sent ONLY to this email address (got to your mail box OFFICE 365).

3. Use the payment systems indicated by the University

The University requires that payments are made by

  • credit/debit/prepaid card
  • PAGOPA

Do not use bank transfer.
