Dr. Davide M. Raimondo completed his Ph.D. in Electronics, Computer Science, and Electrical Engineering at the University of Pavia, Italy, in 2009. Subsequently, he pursued a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Automatic Control Laboratory, ETH Zurich, Switzerland, from 2009 to 2010. His academic journey progressed with roles at the University of Pavia, where he served as an Assistant Professor from 2010 to 2015, followed by an appointment as an Associate Professor from 2015 to 2021. In December 2021, he assumed the position of Full Professor at the same institution, a role he held until September 2023. From October 2023 onward, Dr. Raimondo has been serving as a Full Professor at the University of Trieste. Throughout his career, Dr. Raimondo has held visiting positions at esteemed institutions, including MIT in Cambridge, MA, USA; the University of Seville in Seville, Spain; TU Wien in Vienna, Austria; and the University of Konstanz in Konstanz, Germany. Dr. Raimondo has contributed to more than 100 papers published in refereed journals, books, and conference proceedings. His research interests cover a broad spectrum, including battery management systems, set-based estimation, fault diagnosis, fault-tolerant control, model predictive control, and optimization. Recognizing his scholarly contributions, Dr. Raimondo, in collaboration with his co-authors, received the 2014-2016 Automatica Paper Prize Award in 2017 and the SAFEPROCESS Best Student Paper Award in 2022. Beyond his research endeavors, Dr. Raimondo plays an editorial role as a Subject Editor for Automatica and IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology. Since 2022, he has held the distinguished title of IEEE senior member, solidifying his commitment to and impact on the field.
